Meet the Team
Ujimma Masani, MSW
Co-Founder & Community Visionary
Ujimma Masani is a longtime Baltimore community organizer, visionary, and advocate committed to strengthening families and building healthier communities. She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore and Morgan State's Graduate School of Social Work. She is the visionary leader behind Brothers Who Can Cook, a healthy social justice initiative using food and culture to address health disparities while celebrating local culinary talent. Her work spans community organizing, public service, health advocacy, and grassroots coalition-building. As a co-founder of Clarion Call Baltimore, Ujimma brings decades of relationships, leadership, and a deeply rooted belief in the power of collective action to create meaningful change.
Sister Victory Gye Nyame
Co-Founder & Community Elder
Queen Mother Victory Swift-Gye Nyame, affectionately known as "Mama Victory," is a longtime Baltimore community organizer, educator, and anti-violence advocate. For more than two decades, she has worked to empower youth, honor elders, strengthen families, and support African-centered community initiatives. Following the 2017 murder of her 19-year-old son, Victorious Swift, she transformed profound loss into continued action against violence and in support of Baltimore's young people. As a co-founder of Clarion Call Baltimore, Sister Victory brings decades of grassroots leadership, lived wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to collective action.
Gwendolyn Levi
Co-Founder & Justice Reform Advocate
Gwendolyn "Gwen" Levi is a Baltimore native and nationally recognized advocate for criminal justice reform and second chances. Drawing from her own lived experience with incarceration and reentry, Gwen has become a powerful voice for dignity, accountability, and opportunity for justice-impacted people. As a co-founder of Clarion Call Baltimore, she brings resilience, compassion, and a deep commitment to ensuring that people and communities have the support they need to move forward.
T. Wendell Williams III
Director of Digital Strategy & Communications
Wendell leads Clarion Call Baltimore's digital strategy and communications, transforming the organization's community-centered vision into an accessible and sustainable digital presence. With a background in digital marketing, community engagement, cultural strategy, and resource development, he develops the websites, storytelling, content systems, and digital infrastructure that help connect Baltimore residents with resources, opportunities, and ways to take action.
